Cosplay summary
Although Hyrule Warriors is not a canonical game from The Legend of Zelda franchise, playing with Zelda was something that seemed to be impossible to happen but Koei Tecmo made it possible and just like me, of course the fans freaked out!
Just like others character designs, Princess Zelda is just PERFECT in this game! She still looks sweet and innocent, but also smart and strong, with enough armor all over her body to convey that she's prepared for battle, should things ever come to that.
This version took me out of my comfort zone and forced me to evolve my skills as a cosmaker, I consider this Zelda a milestone in my life as a cosplayer, no wonder it took me 8 months of work!
I had to learn to work with crystal resin to make the jewelry that was unique, until then I had only worked with shoulder pads in previous versions, but in this version I had to learn to model the E.V.A foam on the calf for the boots, breastplates for the chest and forearms, which was VERY hard to do alone! Not to mention the embossed details that took me weeks to model everything by hand with biscuit clay.
In the corset and shorts I used the Taffeta fabric with elastane and in the skirt I used the Linen fabric, because I needed the fabric to absorb the paint well at the time of the gradient process, which is both pink on the outside and purple on the inside (just to complicate more, right??) and the gold accents took me about 3 days of hand-painting with silkscreen ink.
